Archaeological Survey of India, the premier institution for the preservation and research related to various precious historical facts and heritage of the country, ASI has invited applications from interested applicants for admission in PG Diploma in Archeology. Courses and Seats
The PG Diploma in Archaeology is a two-year course offered by ASI. There are a total of 15 seats in this course, on which government rules of reservation will be followed during admission. Those wishing to make a career in archaeology can take this course and move in this direction. There are many opportunities for those interested in this field.
Stipend will be given: Students who get admission in this PG Diploma course of ASI will also be given a stipend of Rs 8000 every month. Apart from this, they will also be given the common fare of a bus or train in the form of a travel allowance to go to a training camp organized in other cities.
The candidate must have master’s degree in Ancient or Medieval Indian History / Archeology / Anthropology / Sanskrit / Pali / Prakrit / Arabic / Persian / Geology from a recognized university. This degree should have a minimum of 55 percent (reserve category-50 percent) marks. Age should not be more than 25 years.
For admission to this course of ASI, the applicant will have to appear in written examination and personal interview. The written examination is on September month. The interview will be taken only of those who have been shortlisted in the written examination. The same applicants will be allowed to appear in the written examination, which will show their final year mark sheet. Without this, they could not provide paper.
